Welcome
Hey girl! Welcome to Keshajeannette.com. I’m a thirty (heavy on the “something”) year old millennial navigating the tricky waters that is life, love, career, and motherhood all while trying to make room for self. Looking for a creative outlet, I designed this lifestyle blog for mindfully ambitious women looking for a little more peace, happiness, and laughter, while building a life filled with passion and purpose.
On this journey, I’m excited to share my take on being a multi-passionate girl boss, life, style, motherhood, travel, & everything in between. I’ll give you tips & tools to help you invest in your health, cultivate what matters, and find joy in the chaos. My goal is to inspire you to live your life and do it boldly.
Make yourself at home. *Grabs glass of wine* I hope you stay awhile! xo

Frequently Ask Questions
Where are you from?
I’m a military brat, but mostly grew up in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Since graduating high school, I’ve lived in a variety of places. I even spent a little over a year living in Dominica, a tropical paradise.
How did you get into wellness & health?
I’ve always had a love for the health sciences and wellness, so much so, that I got my B.S. and M.S. in the healthcare field. I spent a year in medical school before deciding it wasn’t my thing. I left the field to pursued a new passion and career in health promotion & education. Here I got the opportunity to teach individuals how to improve their health through actionable steps, I worked with community leaders to establish policies, systems, and environmental changes that supported healthy lifestyles where people worked, played, and lived. 5 years in public health opened doors I couldn’t even imagine. I now use my expertise to make changes in the behavioral health arena, while living out my childhood dream of being a professional writer and boss.
Where did you meet your husband?
Funny enough, on the side of the road. I was working on a project with the local town and he was walking down the street the first time we were introduced. It was just a casual hello, nice to meet you at that moment, but my first impression/thought was “THAT MAN HAS A MOHAWK.” lol Flash forward 6 years later, we’re married with a whole kid.
What’s your favorite workout routine?
I like quick (30 minutes or less) and dirty (good sweat). I’m more likely to be consistent with short interval training sessions as they can be easily squeezed into a busy day. Right now I’m loving Rachael DeVaux Good // Sweat At-Home Guide.
What’s the story behind your blogging beginning?
I actually started seriously blogging right out of medical school (which I can’t believe was 8 years ago) . I took an interest in food photography and recipe development and spent time creating my blog Raised on Ramen from the ground up. Just when I started to gain traction, I also started to feel a disconnect. While I was sharing healthy recipes, I really wanted to focus on more wellness and lifestyle content. So I took a step back to learn, align with my vision, and live life before coming back to the blogosphere as Kesha Jeannette. I’m so proud of the where the blog is today and the opportunity to create again.
