I’m Kesha, a health and wellness expert helping busy professional women integrate healthy habits seamlessly into their hectic lifestyles. Everyday we face an overwhelmingly demanding world. As the expectations at work and home mount, we carry the pressure of having to choose between a thousand little wars that drain us, leaving little to no energy to put towards accomplishing our own future somethings. Our hopes, dreams, goals, plans, all seem to vanish into the backseat as we tackle the next fire.

Here is where this site comes in. It contains a wealth of knowledge, practical tips, and researched practices to help you implement sustainable healthy habits in your busy life. Think of it as the modern girl’s cheat sheet to healthy living and well-being post-college years. And me, I’m the goal-friend cheering you on in the corner as you navigate the tricky waters of “adult-ing”. The goal of this site is to be the perfect combination of insightful health information, solid advice, been-there-done-that laughable moments, and straight talk reality checks, all shared to help you get through the conundrum that is life.

This site is not the last word, but the beginning of tough conversations regarding health, well-being, and mental fitness with your goal friends. It’s a space where we admit, though I’m booked, blessed, and busy, I’m also overwhelmed, stressed out, and ready to walk away from it all. It’s a place where we share our vulnerabilities, and admit we’re not always “fine”, and thats okay. Most of all it’s a place where we do the work needed internally in order to fuel our daily hustles. Bio //  

Kesha is an American girl specializing in health promotion and behavior change interventions.  She has a Bachelor of Science in Radiation Science with a concentration in Radiation Therapy from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a Master of Science in Medical Science from Hampton University.  Her passion for population health fuels her work in leading school systems, organizations, and government agencies in the development of policies, system, and evidence-based environmental interventions that promote positive health behaviors. As a Public Health Educator, Kesha works with individuals to establish goals, change behavior, and do the worked needed to develop sustainable foundations for a life well lived.  In her downtime she moonlights as a health and wellness contributor, leading workshops and writing for sites across the web. She serves as a project manager and grant writer assisting communities in the development of programs that support the health and well-being of citizens in underserved areas. For 4 years she ran her popular food site before taking the leap to develop her self titled wellness brand, Kesha Jeannette, in 2019. She is a wellness warrior, food and travel junkie, soon-to-be Mrs. Mayes, and personal assistant to their puppy, Izzy. Life is chaotic, but she loves every moment of it.
